Tutoring Seniors on Apple Devices: My Approach
Some of my favorite work is sitting at a kitchen table teaching someone in their 80s how to FaceTime their grandkids.
My approach is unhurried. We don't move on until you can do the thing yourself, twice, without help. I write down each step in plain language so you have a reference after I leave.
Common topics: email basics, Photos and how to share with family, FaceTime, Messages, password management, iCloud, security awareness around phone scams and fake virus pop-ups.
I never make anyone feel stupid for asking the same question three times. That's the job. Apple devices are designed by 30-year-olds for 30-year-olds, and the gap is real. Bridging it patiently is what I do.
